When I first decided to embark on the journey of starting my own photography business, one of the initial challenges was coming up with a name.

Names are important; they represent the identity and essence of what you stand for. I toyed with a myriad of options, some serious and others quite whimsical. "Essence Photography," "Clicks," and a few even crazier ones made the list. Luckily, I had friends who gently nudged me in the right direction. One friend, in particular, suggested I use my own name. Initially, I was unsure about this idea, but looking back now, I’m so glad I listened.

My name is Sabrina Ireland, and hence the name Sabrina Ireland Photography was born. The name holds a special significance, not just because it’s mine, but also because I live in Ireland—a serendipitous bonus. Many people ask me if I have changed my name……No, I haven’t changed my name… it’s the name I was given at birth…. and yes Ireland is my family name.

I was born and brought up in India, a land rich in culture and history. My journey took a new turn when I married an Irish man and moved to Ireland. This cross-cultural journey deeply influenced who I am and how I see the world. And when it came time to design a logo for my business, I wanted it to reflect this journey. I wanted something deeply personal, something that told the story of my life so far, something that was undeniably me.

I spent hours brainstorming various ideas, trying to find the perfect symbol that would encapsulate my identity. And then it hit me. I would combine two symbols from the two worlds that shaped me: the Lotus and the Irish Clover.

The Lotus is the national flower of India. It’s a symbol of purity, beauty, and resilience. The lotus blooms in muddy waters, yet rises above to display its stunning beauty, a metaphor for overcoming adversity and thriving despite challenges. For me, the lotus represents my Indian roots, my upbringing, and the journey of personal growth.

The Irish Clover, on the other hand, is synonymous with Ireland. It’s a symbol of luck, hope, and faith. It also represents the rich cultural heritage of Ireland and its people’s warmth and hospitality. The Irish Clover in my logo signifies my life in Ireland, the new chapter of my life filled with love, opportunities and hopefully a lot of luck for my small business.

Together, these two symbols form the heart of my logo for Sabrina Ireland Photography. The Lotus and the Irish Clover beautifully intertwine, representing the fusion of my Indian heritage and my Irish present.

This logo is more than just a business emblem; it’s a reflection of my journey, my identity, and the values I hold dear.

Creating this logo was an emotional process. It was essential for me to have a logo that wasn’t just aesthetically pleasing but also deeply meaningful. Every time I see it, I’m reminded of where I come from, the path I’ve walked, and the new horizons I’m embracing. It’s a testament to my story and the diverse influences that shape my perspective as a Newborn and Family Photographer.

My logo is a personal and unique representation of Sabrina Ireland Photography. It encapsulates the essence of who I am and the story behind my name. It’s a symbol of my journey, bridging two beautiful cultures and reflecting the harmony and balance I strive to bring into my work.

Thank you for joining me on this journey and for appreciating the story behind my logo.

Through Sabrina Ireland Photography, I aim to capture the beautiful moments and stories of your life, just as my logo captures mine.
